An insight into the newest restaurant in Derby! ‘Junk’ is a comfortable food bar located in the heart of Derby. Serving only the most delicious foods, but also a cosy, vibrant and warm atmosphere. With a stylish interior, Junk is a favourite of many! Constantly being recommended by people that have attended the restaurant on social media. The brainchild of Ben Edmonds (from the Bustler market team) and Taz Edwards (from Leicestershire food business Kerb bears,) which will produce food that is certainly an experience you DO NOT want to miss out on!
Tuesday to Saturday 12 pm- 11 pm
Sunday and Monday – Closed.
Serving hours: Until 9 pm daily.
(They will be opening Sundays throughout December to help spread a little festive cheer.)
History of the venue and the history of Junk.
History of the venue, before junk formed the building was formerly known as ‘Jack Rabbits’ based around the Cathedral quarter of Derby. Jack Rabbits is a coffee café based in Derby and Ashbourne that was also located in Derby but closed down after a long run following a revamp of £10,000 in 2015, following this shutdown Ben Edmonds and Taz Edwards decided to purchase the building and start ‘JUNK’

Ben Edmonds, is a part of the Bustler market, the Bustler market is a market based from the river gardens near the bus station which sells a variety of foods from various countries and continents across the world! The market has a great atmosphere and is child and pet-friendly which appeals to many families in Derby. Ben is based in Derby / Derbyshire.
Taz Edwards is a part of the successful Leicestershire van serving food from around the world! Served from a peculiar Peugeot van that serves aesthetically pleasing food and also stomach-pleasing food. Taz is an expert in making and producing street food and is based in Leicestershire
