The Dog & Moon Freehouse is a traditional, fronted community-focused pub located in Derby’s Sadler Gate, Cathedral Quarter. Previously, it was called The Shakespeare Inn and it was refurbished over a period of four weeks. During the opening, more than 700 people turned up to see the unveiling of the pub.Owners Katie & Mark Haworth both had a vision of how their business would shape and look. The pub floor is noticeably higher than Sadler Gate and the interior consists of three rooms parted in height. The decor is very contemporary wooden through giving the pub a delicate relaxing ambience. The bar is situated in the front room and supports a number of interesting beers from the four every changing traditional cask ales to the vibrant craft products while also providing live music and home-cooked food.
At the Dog & Moon, their opening times run from 12-Midnight (Mon-Thu), 12-2am (Fri & Sat), and 12-Midnight (Sun).
Why not pop in and say hello to Katie, Mark and the team the next time you visit Sadler gate!
